About Apna Hindi Pandit — Bangalore's North Indian Purohit for Every Vedic Ceremony

Apna Hindi Pandit didn't start as a business plan. It started the way most things worth trusting do — with one family calling another family's pandit, because their own priest was back home, and Bangalore didn't feel like it had anyone who understood their rituals the way they were used to.

Pandit Satrudhan Pandey has been performing Vedic ceremonies for over 15 years, trained in the North Indian tradition that most Hindi-speaking families across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi grew up with. When he moved his practice to Bangalore, he noticed something simple but important: the city had no shortage of pandits, but very few who could conduct a puja the way a North Indian household actually expects it — the right sankalp, the right sequence, and someone who explains each step in Hindi instead of rushing through Sanskrit shlokas nobody in the room understands.

That gap became the reason Apna Hindi Pandit exists. What began with a handful of Griha Pravesh and Satyanarayan Pujas for friends and neighbours in RT Nagar has, over the years, grown into a name that more than 2,000 families across Bangalore have now trusted — for a housewarming, a wedding ritual, a baby's naming ceremony, or simply an evening havan asking for a little more peace at home.

What hasn't changed is the approach. Every booking is still treated the way the very first one was — a phone call answered personally, a puja explained honestly, and a ceremony performed exactly as it should be, whether it's a small family gathering or a full wedding celebration.
